Jeffco Burn Guidelines

The Jefferson County Department of Health/ Environmental Health Services Air and Radiation Protection division now has inspector/enforcement personnel who respond to complaints and investigate. They also investigate if they see an area where there is possible burning.

Anyone who burns in Jefferson County, whether they are in city limits or not, has to call to obtain a permit from the Jefferson County Department of Environmental Health Services before any open burning (rubbish, leaves, etc..).
